In my opinion the best in class base layers for cold, wet, summer, winter and for all age groups. Very durable and can be used for a cross section of activities.
Need I say more, fantastic thermal warmth and a special fabric weave which enhances the wicking away effect when the body/ material is wet. You can wear Eskeez clothes in the water which will help maintain body warmth, great for young and old.
The material is very durable, I've had the same base layers for many seasons and they pack down well in my tow float on long swims. This gives me the option to get out at any point, without a towel, knowing I will still be warm and that the layers will dry quickly.
Just look at the range of products, I'm not getting any commission for posting, I just believe they are the best in class out there and I feel the need to share especially at a time when many businesses are struggling.
]]>Eskeez thermals are designed and made in the UK. They used the British unpredictable weather as inspiration for these thermals, which should mean they are perfect for us Britain based riders!
Due to how thermals work, they really struggle in wet conditions. For example, cotton is often used in to wick sweat and other moisture away from your skin. However, once the cotton is wet, it cannot do this anymore.
However, Eskeez is proud to say that the fabric in their thermals will continue to wick away moisture if you become sweaty or even get caught in a downpour! I haven’t fancied pouring a bucket of water over myself in these conditions to test this downpour theory for you! But I can say it works incredibly well at wicking sweat away.
It is also suitable for use under a wetsuit in water sports which makes me think it could come in handy on the hunt field in case you take a dunk in icy water this winter!
I love the Super Thermal Base Layer! I think because I have the white one, I suddenly feel very professional wearing it! It’s incredibly smart looking and looks fantastic with breeches and a gilet!
But not only does it look good, but it is so incredibly comfortable. It’s close fitting but is in no way restrictive. It’s also quite long, which I like as it doesn’t ride up as much and when I’m layering up I can have it covering my bum and tuck it in place for extra warmth!
It has also stood the test of the unpredictable British weather it was designed for! I have worn it on 4 degrees mornings to 22 degrees afternoons! (Okay who am I kidding, some lazy weekends I did just wear it all day!) It keeps me warm on the could days and despite getting quite sweaty on the warmer days, I don’t feel like I have gotten sweaty at all.
Over all, I think this is another fantastic base layer and I am so thankful to have it as part of my winter wardrobe! It is a tad pricey, £54.99, but it is worth every penny. Like I have said when reviewing some of my other more pricey thermals this year, that extra £20 really makes a big difference to the quality of the product! This thermal is also available for men and children and in black, albeit with a slightly different style. So instead of my partner trying to steal it when he thinks I’m not looking, he can have is very own!
I can really recommend this base layer for anyone looking for a bit of extra warmth this winter. I am also currently eyeing up their thermal leggings wondering how they would work under breeches.

I was recommended to Eskeez by a friend who was a fellow ice swimmer and I have been impressed by the quality of the product and even more so by the excellent service from Karen and her production team.
Nothing was too much trouble and they delivered my slightly larger than normal shirt and thermals in time for me to take them to a competition in Poland in January of this year, to which I will always be grateful for, as the water temperature was only 1.5 degrees celsius and to have my Eskeez available for afterwards proved vital in my recovery time post swim, many many thanks.

5) Pack carefully
Getting warm and if skins swimming, dry (ish) will help you be ready for the next swim. I swear by Eskeez thermals as they are designed to cope with water and I found on my Scilly challenges that they dont feel wet on the 5th and 6th changeover.
Eskeez are keeping him warm when he's in and out of the car in -15 and below temperatures!

]]>Channel swimmer, Beth French, reveals the contents of her outdoor swimming kit bag and how streamlining doesn't always mean efficiency in the water...
]]>
Summer is supposedly here- although I'm writing this curled up in an armchair of a beach cafe as the on shore wind has brought sea mist so thick I can't make out the crab pot buoys only 30m off shore- which means the water is warming nicely.
I set myself a mission for the winter- English Channel rules whatever the weather, and I'm proud to say I nailed it without a glitch. In the past, I had donned an extra swim cap below 12'c, then last winter, it was below 10'c. This is in order to alleviate if not avoid ice cream head. It really helps- a silicon hat with a latex one on top, trapping a little air between may look bobble headed ridiculous but keeps the bonce temperate. This year I went without the extra layer at all. Single skin all the way- and I swam down to 5.4'c. I barely suffered with brain freeze and I've been looking at ways to streamline kit and caboodle in other ways.
It is a common question when people take up outdoor swimming, and even hardy summer swimmers who want to extend their seasons ant to know. What to wear to warm up? What bits of essential kit couldn't you live without? I've always travelled light and winter swimming poses problems in that area. Traditionally, togging up with endless layers is required as you stagger away from your swim like a veritable Michelin man. The bag you carry for a 30min swim ends up resembling a Sherpa's pack!
Eskeez thermals have revolutionised my kit bag- and I can arrive and leave the beach looking streamlined. A pertex jacket, to fend off the wind, over Eskeez and simple joggers and hoody on top suffice. If it's wet, I swap joggers for snow boarding trousers, hoody for waterproof and that's that. I arrive in Eskeez, leave in Eskeez and my kit bag contains only my swimmers and flask. The socks are a god send, snugly in walking boots before and after ensure my tootsies are toasty. If I feel like splashing out with my kit- as I have plenty of space in my bag, I take my beach slippers- fluffy mocassin booties which are laughed at til they are experienced for that extra comfort. Gone are the days of lugging kit spewing from holdalls. A neat day bag and I am good to go.

]]>I have now had the opportunity to test the men's zip long sleeve top layer and the swim shorts in my recent challenge of completing the Rock Solid 10km race in Exeter on Sunday 20th of March 2016.
]]>]]>The course was a mixture of obstacles of which around 40% were either water or mud based challenges, the worst of which were swimming through deep mud pools having to submerge under the surface to reach the other side and the 50 metre water slide which dumped me into the sub zero lake in the middle of Escot Park estate (we estimate the water temperature at -5).
The Eskeez clothing coped with all the challenges thrown at it and even though it was impossible to get any proper time to let it dry between the obstacles it still managed to keep my core temperature stable most of the time , the constant obstacles kept it caked in mud however on the run sections it had a chance to dry out the material and wick the water away from the inner layer.
This was a course which has more mud and water obstacles than most extreme races and it certainly coped well with the conditions, at the end of the race I felt better than I had compared to my previous 2 years that I had competed the course and compared to my team mates I certainly seemed to be the freshest at the end ...they had all commented that it was the coldest the race has ever been although I can honestly say that it was not the case for me!
Once the kit was removed it did have a lot of weight in it due to the mud but over a 2 hour race it faired better than I expected , once that kit had been washed and dried it was back to normal after a quick dry on the washing line.
Overall I would give it 8/10 as I doubt whether any technical equipment could have coped any better with the tough conditions , we have further races planned and I will be cycling more over the next few months so I will be able to see a different side to its uses on a normal basis.Regards,
Gary
Will McKean first used Eskeez when he was on the UK Flexifoil Kite Buggying team and currently drives for the Land Rover Experience. Read about his love of Eskeez.
]]>"I have been lucky enough to be involved with Eskeez thermals for a number of years and the products that they produce have had to adapt to my change in lifestyle and everything i do. I have been blown away with the versatility of the clothing and it effectiveness in a wide range of conditions. My first experience of the clothing was when I needed thermals for my trips out to Las Vegas power kiting. Now I know you are all probably thinking 'thats a pretty hot place to be needing thermals' but my god does it get cold at night with those clear skies. Eskeez made sure i was comfortable, whether I was actively out buggying the dry lake beds late into the night, or looking for some warmth, hunkering down in my tent for the night. Superb! This lead me to start using the clothing for so many other activities. Surfing, walking, running, its just been so great!
Working for Land Rover takes me all over the world and being such an iconic company with its DNA and history firmly with capability in all conditions at heart, we often find ourselves in these testing conditions. Eskeez has been faultless with what I've asked of it. I have used the clothing to keep me warm during 3 day expedition competitions, testing products in -25 degree conditions in Sweden, cold clear nights of the Dubai desert and most recently in the French Alps. The clothing's characteristics of being fast drying, rugged and incredibly warm when worn either wet or dry has made them perfect for all that I do. Eskeez... I cant thank you enough!"
Eskeez thermal tops have offered comfort, warm and practicality in a number of challenging conditions. Their quick drying character, smart yet rugged design means they have been perfect for not only my recreational life, but also work.
